Overview
Following Paul's footsteps across Turkey and Greece brings the New Testament to life in the very cities where Paul preached, taught, and lived the Gospel. We are literally walking through the New Testament and Paul's letters as we travel through Antioch, Tarsus, Galatia, Ephesus, Corinth, Athens, Philippi, and more. This is where Paul preached to pagans and philosophers, Jews and new Christ-followers, planted the first churches of Christianity, and wrote letters that still shape Christian faith today. We have the rare opportunity to walk the same Roman roads, see the forums and theaters, and enjoy the landscapes of the Aegean and ancient Asia Minor. Bible stories you know become tangible and create memories you won't soon forget, including the courage to spread the Gospel in the 1st century AD.
Activity Level: Moderate to Active
This program involves full days of touring, extensive walking, and navigating uneven terrain, often at ancient archaeological sites with stone steps, inclines, and limited handrails. Travelers should be prepared for days that include standing for extended periods, walking up to 2–4 miles, and boarding and exiting buses and planes. Some sites require climbing hills or walking on irregular surfaces, and several days include early departures and full schedules. There will be opportunities to stay on the bus or sit in rest areas if needed. While the pace is steady rather than rushed, this journey is best suited for travelers who are comfortable being active, mobile, and physically engaged throughout the day. If you enjoy learning on the move and exploring historic landscapes on foot, you’ll find this itinerary especially rewarding.
