On board Rocky Mountaineer's all-dome fleet, travel through otherwise inaccessible terrain to unlock the unparalleled beauty of British Columbia, Alberta, and the Canadian Rockies. Journey through inspiring mountain vistas, and revel in the grand landscapes of some of Canada’s most remarkable national parks.

Begin your adventure early by enjoying two pre nights in delightful Victoria—the lush capital of British Columbia. Savor the island's relaxing pace as you explore vibrant gardens, admire historical architecture, and take in the city's friendly ambience. Visit one of Victoria's landmark castles or churches, stroll along the quaint inner harbor, or peruse the colorful shops that line bustling Government Street.

Chrissy McAllister

Meet your trip scholar

Dr. Chrissy McAllister (C’93) joined Principia College’s Department of Biology and Natural Resources in 1999 and has served as department chair and as Division Head for the Math and Natural Sciences Division. Chrissy holds a master’s degree from Kansas State University in biology, focusing on plant ecophysiology in tallgrass prairie plants and a PhD from Saint Louis University in biology, focusing on plant population genetics. At Principia, Chrissy teaches courses on botany, plant ecology, and conservation genetics. She also maintains an active research program in these fields, centered around engaging undergraduate students in research. A big proponent of Principia's study abroad programs, Chrissy has led numerous programs to New Zealand, Yellowstone National Park, and Dominica.
