Travel Insurance
To maximize your choices, we recommend evaluating travel insurance options immediately. Purchasing within 14 days of your trip deposit can offer the greatest benefits and is sometimes necessary for Cancel for Any Reason policies.

You are free to use a provider of your choice.
Travelers not electing travel insurance will be asked to sign a disclaimer acknowledging that Principia and our travel partner, Holy Kemet, are not responsible for expenses relating to issues such as suitcase loss, theft, medical expenses, accidents, flight cancellation, etc.
Roommates
If you are sharing a double occupancy room, you must know the name of your roommate at the time of registration. If not, you will be charged the single occupancy rate. You will be prompted for your roommate’s name, cell phone number, and email address during the registration process.
If you are interested in taking all three legs of the trip, your roommate should do the same.

Luggage Allowance
Due to domestic travel requirements, each traveler is allowed one checked suitcase up to 50 pounds and 62 linear inches and one carry-on up to 17.6 pounds and 46.5 inches (21.7x15.7x9.1).
Transfers
Transfers between the airport, hotel, and piers are included in the standard program for group transport. However, travelers requesting changes from the standard program are responsible for their own transfers, even if coinciding with group transfers. Note: Arrival and departure transfer details for each traveler must be submitted 75 days before the tour starts. Any sudden changes/amendments to the arrival/departure date must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance to allow for rescheduling. Failure to provide timely notification may result in a surcharge of $75 USD per person per transfer for such service, and no refund for the unused service.
Domestic Airline Tickets Policy
Domestic airline tickets will be printed approximately 90–120 days prior to departure. Once printed, tickets cannot be changed or refunded. Air transportation to/from your destination will be in economy class aboard IATA and ARC carriers, utilizing APEX or SUPER APEX nonrefundable, non-amendable tickets for groups of 10 or more passengers flying together for the entire itinerary.
Domestic flights within Egypt will be operated by EgyptAir, Air Cairo, or Nile Air. The flight from Egypt to Jordan will be operated by EgyptAir or Royal Jordanian Airlines.
If you would like to request an upgrade to business class, please select that option during registration. Please note that all upgrade requests are subject to airline availability at the time of ticketing. If a confirmed business class upgrade for any domestic flight segment is not available and you are placed in economy class, you will be refunded the upgrade fee per flight leg.
Activity Level
The main tour's activity level is classified as Moderate to Active, indicating a moderate to active level of physical exertion. Walking is an integral aspect of this trip, and participants should be in good health to fully enjoy the experience. Engaging in a demanding daily schedule of physical activities is expected. This may include walking distances of 3–5 miles, navigating stairs (with and without railings), traversing uneven terrain, and embarking/disembarking from motor vehicles and boats. There will also be times when the group will stand for periods of time to listen to the guide at sites where seating is not available.
In some ports, dahabiyas may be moored side by side, necessitating crossings with gaps between them. Guests undertake such crossings at their own risk, with crew assistance recommended. During rough weather, movement on the ship should be minimized due to potentially slippery surfaces.
The post tour to Sinai includes the option to climb in the Sinai Mountains for approximately 6–7 hours at an altitude of 7,750 feet or choose to rest.
Travelers should be prepared for an active trip.
