Rob Ostenberg

Rob Ostenberg (US’65, C’69) has touched the lives of many soldiers and civilians throughout his nearly 40-year decorated military career. Having served both on active duty and in the Army Reserve, his awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star (Valor), and the Purple Heart. Ostenberg’s final duty before retiring as a two star general in 2008 was as director of Reserve Forces for North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM), Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.
As a civilian, Ostenberg has provided estate planning and pension guidance to numerous clients for over thirty years. He has also been active on several boards in California and as an advisor to a non-profit that deploys humanitarian resources to Iraq and Afghanistan. For Principia, he has served on the Trustees’ Council, the Alumni Board, and as president of his local Principia Club. Ostenberg received the DKA Award in 2009.
