Richard B. Tullis

Richard B. "Dick" Tullis (US'30, C'34) was the recipient of the first David K. Andrews Alumni Award in 1994. Upon his retirement he devoted himself as a volunteer, helping to provide 1,100 housing units and create jobs for low-income and handicapped people in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. He was also chairman of University Circle, Inc., a nonprofit service development organization. The Cleveland community honored him by naming him "Man of the Year" in 1970, and the Harvard Business School Club gave him the Business Statesmanship Award in 1977. His service to Principia included being a member of The Seventy for Principia and a Trustee. Richard and Chaille (Handy, US'31, C'35) Tullis's three children all attended Principia.

Dick Tullis also has been inducted into Principia's Athletic Hall of Fame.
