“As a coach and educator, I see myself . . . on the outside of the student-athletes’ experience looking in. I’m respecting . . . their opportunity to play and perform. This frees them to make the experience their own . . . and creates an environment where the athlete and team can make the most of their experience.”

Seth’s commitment and contribution to athletics at Principia College is both broad and deep. Along with serving as men’s head soccer coach for 18 years, he was head baseball coach from 1984–1989 and athletic director from 1993–1999.

During this time, Seth coached 11 soccer teams to a top-ten ranking in the Midwest Region. He led men’s soccer to its first-ever NCAA Division III National Soccer Tournament in 2001. He coached and developed one All-American, 16 All-Midwest, and 76 All-Conference soccer players.

Seth's accomplishments as a soccer coach gained the recognition of regional and national associations. He was named Conference Coach of the Year three times and Central Region Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Highlights of Seth's service as head baseball coach include coaching two baseball Conference championship teams and coaching the first Principia baseball team to reach 20 wins in a season.
