1966 Football Team

The 1966 football team achieved seven decisive victories with only one loss all season. The team won the Conference title, and Coach Crafton was named Coach of the Year. Statistics for the eight-game season include 1,958 yards for rushing, 332 yards for passing in a single game, and a total of 209 points scored. In addition, 10 players received All-Conference recognition: Buz Brewster, Doug Frye, Chip LaMaster, John Lyon, Christopher Ranft, Bruce Rankin, Joe Shepard, Todd Small, Tuck Spaulding, and Bill Stitt.

1968 Football Team

After starting off the season with two losses, the team turned the tide, going on to win its remaining seven games, many of them by a wide margin. The team won the Conference title, Principia’s sixth consecutive football Conference Championship. Statistics for the nine-game season include 2,173 yards for rushing, 341 yards for passing in a single game, and a total of 233 points scored. In addition, eleven players received All-Conference recognition: Buz Brewster, Dan Dyck, Tony Givens, Dave Jackson, Chip LaMaster, Doug Linton, David Maxwell, David Neal, Fred Park, Bill Stitt, and Don Thomas.
