Christina Speer

At the time of her induction, Christina was one of only four Principians named to an Academic All-America Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America and the only volleyball player in the conference to win Player of the Year three times. Christina was Conference Newcomer of the Year in both volleyball and basketball her freshman year and was selected four times for All-Conference First Team in volleyball and three times in basketball. As a senior, Christina led the nation in kills per set (averaging 4.86), completing her collegiate volleyball career with seven school records. She ended her final basketball season as the all-time conference leader in points scored by a woman player (1,688 career points), finishing with five school records in that sport.

Equally accomplished academically, Christina graduated as a member of Phi Alpha Eta, Principia’s scholastic honor society, with three majors in math, computer science, and Spanish. In 2014, she was inducted into the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Hall of Fame, the first student-athlete selected by a unanimous vote. Christina currently plays professional volleyball in Europe.
