Prayers and Support for Families Impacted by California Fires

Principia is sending love and prayers to those impacted by the fires in Southern California. We are reaching out to our diverse Principia alumni families and the wider Christian Science community to offer our help.

If you have a need or know of families affected by the fires who may have an educational need for school- or college-age students, please let us know. Principia is offering tuition-free enrollment for the spring 2025 academic semester for qualified students. Here are more details:

Tuition-free Enrollment and Room and Board (for the spring 2025 semester).

As space permits, Principia School and Principia College will welcome qualified students of all Principia alumni, regardless of faith, as well as other Christian Science Sunday School students displaced from areas where schools or colleges may not be operational.

Principia School is accepting students in K–12 immediately. Grades 8–12 may also board on campus. For assistance and information, contact Director of Admission Ginger Roth at ginger.roth@principia.edu or 314.514.3188.

Principia College is accepting late applications and registrations from students who can enroll before spring semester classes begin on January 27. For assistance and information for college-age students, contact Dean of Admissions Rachael Stock at dean.admissions@principia.edu or 618.374.5181.

Many in our alumni network have already contacted us to let us know they are eager to provide whatever support they can. If you are aware of a family with a specific need, please reach out to Senior Director of Alumni & Field Relations Merrilee McFarland at merrilee.mcfarland@principia.edu or 314.514.3146.

Everyone here at Principia joins you in prayerfully supporting those impacted by the fires. An article from the January 2020 Christian Science Journal (Quieting destructive winds and catastrophic wildfires) that was shared by the editors of the Christian Science periodicals a few days ago reminds us all of the power of community. “We need never feel helpless in the face of threatening conditions,” it states. “God is at hand to provide everything needed.”
