At a recent student panel event hosted by Principia’s Howard Society and 1898 Legacy Society, four Principia College students shared reflections on their Principia experiences. Their stories, rich with growth, gratitude, and transformation, showcased the impact of Principia supporters.

If there’s a lesson to be learned from businesswoman and nonprofit owner Zekita Armstrong Asuquo (C’19), it’s that hard work in secret leads to open success and recognition. But a little (or a lot) of single-minded determination doesn’t hurt either. And with her work with her nonprofit recently recognized on the St. Louis Business 500 list, it’s safe to say Asuquo has determination in abundance.
In April 2025, College alumna Sylvia Spicer (C’77) will be inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, sharing the honor with all-time greats.
