Amanda Price Weitman (C’83)
As captain of the 1982 volleyball team, Amanda led Principia to a 28-6 record and Illinois State Championship. Amanda was awarded All-Tournament in volleyball and All-Conference in basketball. Overall, she earned 11 varsity letters, playing women’s volleyball and basketball all four years, two seasons of softball, and one year of track and field.
Whatever the sport, Amanda was known as a good team player and a leader. She was captain of the volleyball and basketball teams, and a 1983 recipient of Principia’s Howard L. Mitchell Senior Athlete Award for intercollegiate athletic achievement.
Beyond athletics, Amanda has made a name for herself in the wealth management industry, serving as managing director and wealth advisor for Wells Fargo Private Bank in the San Francisco Bay area, earning the status of Concord Elite Top Performer 15 times. As a certified advisor in philanthropy since 2010, Amanda helps individuals and families create healthy, meaningful legacies. She received her MBA from Golden Gate University and earned a master’s in philanthropy from Indiana University.
An active supporter of Principia and the Christian Science community, Amanda has served on the Principia Alumni Association Board, 18 years on the board of the Albert Baker Fund, and as a mentor for the DiscoveryBound National Leadership Council. She has also served on and continues to advise numerous boards outside the Christian Science community.
