Ngozi Mwanamwambwa Asinga

"When I think of my Prin athletic experience, I think about praying through physical challenges and growing in so many ways."

A seven-time NCAA Division III All-American in track, Ngozi earned top-three finishes in the 100-, 200-, and 400-meter races, and was the 1992 national champion in the 200-meter. That year, while a junior at Principia, Ngozi was the first woman to represent her native country of Zambia in the Olympics, held in Barcelona. She also competed in the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta. In 2006 Ngozi was inducted into the NCAA Track and Field Hall of Fame.
