James Rosebush
James Rosebush (C’71), Founder and CEO of GrowthStrategy Inc., Former Deputy Assistant to President Ronald Reagan, and former Chief of Staff to First Lady Nancy Reagan, is the 2016 DKA Distinguished Alumni Award recipient.
James Rosebush is a widely recognized leader in building and managing corporate and philanthropic organizations and serving as the outsourced CEO and senior advisor for wealthy families and family offices. From 1981 to 1986, he started and managed President Reagan’s favorite domestic policy program, Private Sector Initiatives. In addition, he served on the President’s famous Theme for the Day task force, which planned Reagan’s highly disciplined and focused approach to messaging. He was also the longest-serving Chief of Staff to the First Lady and the first Chief of Staff to simultaneously hold a senior White House position with the President and the First Lady. As the President’s point man on philanthropy and public/private partnerships, he traveled the world with the Reagans and had extensive one-on-one access to the President.
