Dr. George Moffett
Formerly Middle East and diplomatic correspondent for The Christian Science Monitor and an assistant to the Chief of Staff in the Carter White House, Dr. George Moffett (C’65) served as president of Principia College from 1996 to 2007.
Among his many contributions was the establishment of the George A. Andrews Distinguished Speaker Series. An accomplished speaker himself, Dr. Moffett was known on campus for his inspiring convocation talks, which have been collected and published. He was also a Journal-listed Christian Science practitioner.
