Bobby Lewis
After graduating from Principia College in 1986, Bobby Lewis earned a master of divinity degree from Boston University. He went on to serve as a chaplain with the U.S. Marine Corps for fourteen years, including three years on active duty during Desert Storm.
Lewis’s love for the outdoors, experiential education, and Christian Science, combined with his desire to work with young adults, has shaped his career. He served as an Outward Bound instructor, a counselor and expedition leader for a program for at-risk and adjudicated youth, and director of the Adventure Unlimited Ranches. In 2008, Bobby and his wife, Natalie (Trippet, US ’82, C’86), founded The Link School, an alternative high school for Christian Scientists that blends academics, outdoor expeditions, service work, and Christian Science in a challenging learning environment.
In 2006, Bobby, Natalie, and their two teenage daughters hiked the 3,000-mile Continental Divide Trail. Their story was chronicled in a 2008 issue of the Christian Science Sentinel.
