
Arthur T. Morey
Arthur T. Morey (US'53, C'57) received the David K. Andrews Distinguished Alumni Award in 2001 for his long career of outstanding service to his community, business, the Christian Science movement, and Principia. In 1966, Art and two other St. Louis businessmen started a popular restaurant chain, Lion's Choice. In 1975, he became a full-time Christian Science practitioner for 15 years. He was active in starting a Christian Science church in West County which he has served in many ways, including Sunday School teacher, soloist, and board chairman. In 1991, he started Environmental Recycling, Inc., a company that recycles plastic to manufacture truck floors, fences, benches, tables, pallets, and crates. Art has remained active on civic boards, including the local Boy Scouts of America Committee, Rainbow Valley Ranch, Adventure Unlimited, and Cedars Camps. He also presided on the Alumni Association Board and served on the Principia Board of Trustees.
