Recent Alum Set to Soar (Literally)

February 7, 2013

Joshua Curry (C’12) was sworn in as a Naval Flight Officer in a mid-January ceremony in the Chapel. He leaves this week for Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, after which he’ll head to Pensacola, Florida, for flight training.

While at the College, Josh was a member of the solar car team, racing across Australia and the United States. He also went on the Mongolia Abroad, played rugby, started climbing and fencing clubs on campus, worked as an assistant in the Physics Department, and was an enthusiastic member of Lowrey House. Josh was also known for some of his antics—including swimming across the Mississippi River!
